Currently serving Hillsborough, Pinellas, Hernando, Citrus, Pasco, Manatee, Polk, Hardee, Orange, Lee and Sarasota counties providing the infrastructure that makes modern life possible. Our crews are highly experienced and committed to quality results on each job site. With state-of-the-art technology, FAC has the crews and equipment suitable for a variety of development projects ranging from public work (federal, county, city projects) to private single businesses, multi business office parks, and apartments to subdivision communities. Guided by Senior Management, FAC has a team that is equipped to provide efficient budget and timeline solutions for contracts ranging upward of $20 million dollars in size. We’re a rapidly expanding company with significant opportunities, and we need an Estimator to play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive bids for our diverse projects. This position reports to the Director of Operations, contributing directly to our continued success.

Requirements:

Developing comprehensive estimates for government contracts, with a strong emphasis on roadbuilding projects. Leveraging your expertise in phasing for road construction, maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, and production rates for offsite roadwork. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project objectives and constraints. Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services. Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate cost estimates. Working with our existing project scopes, including permit contracts within FDOT right-of-ways for private clients and multiple annual Hillsborough County maintenance contracts. Utilizing industry-standard software such as Agtek, Bluebeam, B2W, and Microsoft Project.

Requirements:

5+ years of estimating experience with related scopes, particularly in government contracts. A proven ability to manage and deliver accurate estimates for complex projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques. Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans and specifications. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
