Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our preconstruction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects during both the bid and design development phases. Key Responsibilities Analyze architectural drawings, project specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates. Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and vendors. Develop and maintain cost databases and unit pricing. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers during the preconstruction phase. Conduct site visits to assess project scope and identify cost factors. Prepare bid proposals, cost breakdowns, and value engineering options. Participate in bid reviews and client presentations. Track market trends, material pricing, and labor costs Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and materials. Proficiency in estimating software. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. Knowledge of local subcontractor market in Florida is a plus.
