Role Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Estimator with a strong background in grading and underground utility construction. This role is essential to our project acquisition efforts and preconstruction strategy. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of earthmoving operations, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main installations, and will be responsible for generating accurate and competitive cost estimates. This is a full-time, high-impact role based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, where the ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening existing industry relationships and cultivating new client partnerships. The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Analyze civil plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports to prepare accurate estimates Build detailed take-offs and 3D models for grading and utility scopes using Agtek Evaluate site logistics and construction phasing for efficient production planning Quantify and price earthwork, storm, water, and sewer utility systems Solicit and negotiate pricing from suppliers and subcontractors Prepare detailed proposals with clear scope narratives and clarifications Work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and clients to ensure alignment between estimates and project execution Support preconstruction meetings and assist with client procurement and business development efforts Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with a strong emphasis on grading and underground utilities Proficient in Agtek, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel Deep understanding of earthwork principles, utility installation methods, and production rates Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, civil plans, and technical specifications Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple deadlines Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required) Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package that reflects the value we place on expertise and results: Salary range: $100,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience.
