This role is pivotal in supporting our project pipeline by preparing accurate and timely cost estimates across commercial, industrial, government, and union landscape construction projects. www.rpmlandscaping.com Responsibilities Source and identify bid opportunities across landscape, utility, and tree care sectors. Review project plans and specs, completing bid documentation checklists. Conduct take-offs and cost analysis with precision and speed. Collect vendor quotes and manage material pricing data. Input estimates and details into LMN (Landscape Management Network). Collaborate with PMs to refine cost assumptions and scope clarifications. Stay current on market trends, materials, and pricing strategies. Maintain clear documentation and records for all estimate-related activity. Occasionally perform on-site assessments to validate scope assumptions. Skills 1+ years of experience in estimating landscaping projects and sitework. Familiar with hardscape/landscape materials. Proficient in handling take-offs and bid packages for landscaping projects. Comfortable reading plans and collaborating with operations and field teams. Experience in construction estimating, landscape industry preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word; LMN software experience is a plus. Strong analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organized and self-motivated with time management skills. Comfortable working independently in hybrid settings. Performance Expectations Key Deliverables Deliver accurate, complete estimates that reflect true project scope. Prepare complete bid packages for review within 48-72 hours. Maintain well-organized documentation and records for each estimate. Key Metrics 95%+ estimate accuracy vs. actual project costs. 100% bid readiness for internal review. 10-15 estimates prepared weekly (depending on complexity).
