Estimator/Project Manager Our client is accepting applicationsfor a Commercial Acoustical Estimator/Project Manager to join ourteam. Specializing in framing and drywall systems, acousticalsolutions, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, carpet, plaster andEIFS. They have been servicing customers with quality installationof these products for decades. They pride themselves on integrity,quality, and respect for our customers. They value the need to bedetail oriented to maintain accuracy, high quality workmanship andcomplete jobs on schedule and within budget. This position isresponsible to prepare and oversee timely, accurate, andcompetitive bids to secure hard bid contracts and negotiatedprojects along with project management duties on landed contracts.

This is a dynamic position which provides the successful candidatethe opportunity to see projects through from bidding to completionand perform a variety of tasks daily. This position interfaces withboth office and site personnel, internal and external, to ensuresuccessful and profitable delivery of projects.

Required Skills &Abilities:
  • Strong planning, problem solving and troubleshootingskills along with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Motivated individual with a strong work ethic, teamwork skills, anda positive attitude, willing to accept and meet the dailychallenges inherent to the construction process.
  • Highly organized,detail oriented, able to prioritize workflow needs and multitaskaccordingly.
  • An understanding of commercial construction biddingand contracting processes.
  • Ability to read and analyze blueprintsto accurately estimate material quantities and labor.
  • Ability tocommunicate professionally and effectively with customers,colleagues, and coworkers both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability totravel to and navigate construction sites, which may involve theuse of stairs/scaffolding, etc.
  • General knowledge of MicrosoftOffice, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • On Screen Takeoff, Quick bidSoftware experience preferred .
  • Knowledge of drywall products andinstallation methods preferred . Key Job Responsibilities
  • Estimating:
  • Develop and maintain a professional, positiverelationship with multiple General Contractors, material suppliers,product representatives, and customers.
  • Prepare accurate takeoffsutilizing estimating software.
  • Price labor, material, andequipment using historic data, past experience, and supplierpricing to compile competitive bids and negotiated work proposals
  • Analyze completed projects and continually update productiondatabases to ensure competitive and profitable bidding.
  • Remaincurrent on local market conditions.
  • Produce concise proposals andbid forms.
  • Follow up on submitted bids. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Project Management:
  • Develop and maintain a professional, positiverelationship with multiple General Contractors, material suppliers,product representatives, and customers.
  • Manage contractdocuments, review RFI’s, CPR’s, and any project changes toaccurately capture added costs and acquire payment.
  • Materialprocurement and management to ensure accurate material types andquantities are available to meet project schedule, and thatmaterial deliveries are made to jobsites on time.
  • Communicatewith Superintendents on schedules to ensure manpower needs are met
  • Update cost projections and production rates throughout projectduration and identify risks, challenges, and production shortfalls,and work with superintendents and field staff to correct issues andensure project profitability.
  • Perform post project evaluations toidentify achieved production rates, inefficiencies and challenges,and work with the team to implement corrections and improvements.
  • This position is directly responsible for the successful andprofitable delivery of contracts from start to finish.
RequiredQualifications:
  • 3 years of commercial estimating and/or projectmanagement experience.
  • Experience specific to commercialresilient flooring and carpeting products and installation methodsis highly preferred, but exceptional candidates without priorflooring experience will be considered.

Full-time Pay:

$80,000.00

  • $120,000.
