Flooring Installer Job Description:
We are a commercial flooring company seeking flooring installers to become part of our team with a minimum of 5 years of experience installing LVT, ceramic tile, hardwood, sheet vinyl, carpet tile, and broadloom in commercial establishments. Having experience in light carpentry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding floor preparations for all materials to create a smooth floor to receive new flooring.
- Understanding basic to intricate layouts for resilient flooring. (Ashlar, herringbone, diagonals, etc.)
- Understanding all installation methods for various flooring materials.
- Ability to follow blueprints to execute correct layouts and material placement.
- Ability to determine pattern repeats to trim invisible seams for carpet installation.
- Keeping a clean workspace to maintain project safety and material cleanliness.
- Communicate with the field manager and office manager for up-to-date project changes and details.
- Keeping track of all materials and supplies used daily.
- Understanding all safety regulations required based on the environment being worked in.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience installing various flooring products. Understanding all installation methods.
- Must have own tools and transportation.
- Willing to travel the Tri-State area.
- Good analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work standing, kneeling, or crouching for extended periods.
- Detail-oriented.
- Maintain safe work practices while meeting strict deadlines.
- Flexible to work days, nights, and weekends if necessary.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Job Type:
Full-time:
(Monday-Friday). Day work, Night work, and Saturdays if necessary.
Pay:
Salary will be based on skill level. $275-$375 per day.
