Full Job Description Landscape Designer/Estimator Overview:

We’re looking for a creative and organized Landscape Designer/Estimator to join our team. This role blends design, estimating, and sales—meeting with clients, developing solutions, and using Aspire to build and present project estimates. Strong communication, follow-through, and time management are key to success.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Sales:

Meet with clients to understand project goals, gather site data, and guide them through the design-build process. Present proposals and designs clearly and professionally.

Design Development:

Create detailed, thoughtful designs using AutoCAD and LandFX. Prepare planting and hardscape plans that align with the client’s budget, vision, and site conditions.

Estimating & Proposals:

Build accurate estimates and proposals in Aspire. Track design and admin time per project to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Project Coordination:

Work closely with the design team, project managers, and production team to align project details and handoffs. Keep clients informed between project phases and answer questions throughout.

Workflow & Communication:

Stay on track with timelines and deliverables. Communicate regularly with clients, team leads, and internal stakeholders. Perform weekly check-ins with the Lead Designer and update clients on progress.

Tools You’ll Use:

Aspire (estimating and project tracking) AutoCAD and LandFX Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in landscape design, estimating, or a related role Proficient in CAD; LandFX experience a plus Familiarity with Aspire or other estimating software preferred Knowledge of plant material (native plants a plus) and hardscape construction Highly organized with strong time management and follow-through Clear, confident communicator with excellent client-facing and team collaboration skills Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and goal-driven
