Landscape Designer/Project Manager Rex Howard’s Landscaping & Excavating, LLC 2635 E Parkway, Gatlinburg, TN 37738

Position Responsibilities:

Creating, reviewing, presenting and performing take offs of drawings. Site visits, phone and remote meetings to include meeting with owner or owner representative for residential, governmental and commercial projects. Administration of the project to include, but not limited to providing pricing to clients, project management which will include preparing other staff members for implementation of the project, overseeing subcontractors, permitting, scheduling and assisting office staff in the preparation of billing. Attend regularly scheduled project meetings. Regular communication with project owners for the duration of the project. Job tracking to include materials, labor, equipment, change orders and budget. During and post project walk throughs with the client to ensure they remain informed of progress, unforeseen issues and address any issues the client may have. Oversee that the high standard of quality is achieved in all phases of the project. Professional knowledge of plant materials, other landscape materials and current landscape trends. Develop connections with nurseries and suppliers of all other aspects of landscape materials supply Ability to design, develop, implement and lead multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to write, review and understand contracts.

Position Requirements:

At least a 2 year or bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Horticulture Design and/or 5+ years of professional experience. This position will require both time on job sites and in the office. Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD or other design software, Adobe Suite, Excel, and Microsoft Office are required. Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn PlanHub, ProCore, Raken and RealGreen are a bonus. Ability to contribute to a positive workplace environment. A Valid Driver License is required. Must be an outgoing individual who works well with others in the office and on the job site under pressure with the ability to resolve unexpected job site issues. Polite, patient, stern when needed and possess the ability to resolve issues with difficult clients in a professional manner. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to adapt to the current needs and demands of the job. Ability to adjust schedule to meet the daily demands of work as it can change quickly from what you may have planned for the day.
