Full Job Description Position Summary:
As an Underground Laborer, you will work on crews that install, maintain, and repair underground utility lines and related infrastructure. This is a hands-on role involving physical labor, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and ensuring job site safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation and maintenance of underground fiber optic cables, conduit, and other utilities. Operate hand tools, power tools, and assist with heavy equipment as needed. Load and unload materials and equipment. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety guidelines and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the crew leader or supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior construction or underground utility experience is a plus, but not required — we will train the right candidate. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks. Willingness to travel locally and work flexible hours as needed. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred. Strong work ethic, teamwork, and communication skills.
