Full-Time Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Loader Operator to join our team. The Loader Operator plays a critical role in plant operations by efficiently loading materials, feeding the plant, and ensuring proper stockpile management to maintain steady production and material quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate front-end loader to transport, load, and stockpile aggregate materials. Feed materials into the asphalt plant as directed to maintain continuous production. Maintain stockpile areas to ensure materials are stored safely and efficiently. Inspect loader and other equipment daily; report any mechanical issues or needed maintenance. Assist with plant housekeeping, including cleaning up spillage, maintaining safe work areas, and other general duties. Communicate with plant personnel to coordinate material needs and ensure smooth operations. Monitor material inventory levels and report shortages to supervisors. Assist with routine plant maintenance and minor repairs when required. Operate other equipment as needed (optional based on experience and qualifications). Follow all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

Proven experience operating front-end loaders, preferably in asphalt plant or aggregate environments. Knowledge of aggregate materials, stockpiling practices, and loader operating techniques. Ability to perform basic equipment inspections and maintenance. Strong awareness of workplace safety and commitment to safe operating practices. Physical ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform manual labor as needed. Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and nights. Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working at an asphalt or aggregate production plant. Familiarity with mobile equipment maintenance and basic mechanical skills. Experience in other equipment such as track hoe, man lift, extended boom forklift, etc.

Work Environment & Conditions:

Must be willing to work night shift on rotation, may involve weekends, with 10-15 hours overtime typical. On-call availability for emergency repairs may be required. Outdoor work environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, and heavy machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is supplied and required (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
