This role is primarily focused on site preparation, grading, and base installation, with occasional assistance on turf installation as needed. The ideal candidate is a skilled equipment operator who works well in a team, follows direction, and is comfortable with travel and outdoor work.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate equipment such as skid steers, compactors, laser graders, tractors, and loaders. Assist with installation of aggregate base layers, drainage systems, and geotextile fabric. Perform rough and fine grading according to project specifications and elevations. Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Follow layout markings, grade stakes, and elevation guidelines using lasers or GPS tools. Support turf installation tasks occasionally, such as layout, seaming, and infill. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite while following safety protocols.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in construction or equipment operation (turf or site prep preferred). Proficient in operating compact construction equipment (skid steers, rollers, etc.). Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively with a team. Valid driver’s license required. Preferred Certifications (Preferred but not required):
Skid Steer Operator Certification Heavy Equipment Operator Certification Forklift Certification Physical & Travel Requirements:
Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform physical labor for extended periods. Must be willing to travel frequently for long periods of time and work extended hours as needed.
