Heavy Equipment Operator Webb Grading & Excavating 169 Green Acres Drive, Ellerbe, NC 28338 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various types of heavy equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our projects, including digging, transporting materials, and performing site preparations. The Equipment Operator will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of safety and productivity on the job site. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, front loader trucks, water trucks, tankers, and concrete mixers in a safe and efficient manner. Perform digging operations for excavation projects while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with project managers and team members to understand project requirements and timelines. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report any malfunctions or repairs needed. Follow all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on site. Hand work if necessary Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues. Proficient in operating heavy equipment including but not limited to bulldozers, cranes, front loaders, water trucks, tankers, and concrete mixers. Experience in commercial driving is preferred. Ability to dig effectively while ensuring precision and safety at all times. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and supervisors. Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols on the job site.
