Heavy Equipment Operator 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Columbia, SC 29203 Local and Fast Growing Mining & Construction Company in Need of GPS experienced heavy equipment operators (bulldozer, excavator, backhoe)! Experience in demolition a plus ! You must be hard-working, reliable, and willing to perform various tasks that are required on the work site. Operators are instrumental to the company’s success. Safety, efficiency and pride are key attributes of an excellent operator. All operators are required to be safe and be responsible for their assigned equipment.
Pay Rate:
$18.00hr to $28.00hr (Depending On Experience) Per Diem of $105.00 Per Day Worked (If Greater Then 70miles From Work Site)
Working Hours:
Monday Through Friday Variable Start Times (Depending on Job)
Responsibilities:
Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Perform daily safety and maintenance checks Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required. Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored. Participate in route maintenance to include but not limited to greasing/fueling equipment daily. Practice workplace safety. General daily preventative equipment maintenance. Light labor work as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Equipment operation and maintenance. Equipment safety. General site preparation techniques and procedures. Knowledge of operation of front end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other pieces of heavy equipment. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage. Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures. Knowledge of equipment cleaning standards and procedures. Client service and public interaction skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Decision making skills. Effective verbal and listening communication skills. Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records. Time management skills.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Physically strenuous and mentally demanding job. Lifting, pulling, and managing heavy equipment and objects, from time to time. Work in all weather.
