Painter (Temp) Position Available In Passaic, New Jersey

Van Dyk Park Place is accepting applications for a Temporary Painter for our Assisted Living Community in Hawthorne, NJ. Hours and days are flexible. Pay Rate = $19.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Perform accurate and efficient work in resident apartments, common areas and outside areas in the community. Interior and exterior maintenance of painted areas of the community Restore painted areas in vacated apartments to new-like conditions Performs drywall repairs as needed Possess excellent customer service skills, the ability to complete tasks effectively and in a timely manner, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work area Must be an independent worker possessing the ability to handle a job from start to finish

Qualifications:

At least 3 years’ experience as a painter; trade or vocational school graduate desirable Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces Prior experience in painting including preparing, sanding, sealing, and caulking required Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade to include paints, varnishes, lacquers, enamels, epoxies, paint removers, and related materials
