Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on construction sites, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various surfaces. The Painter will collaborate with other tradespeople and contribute to the overall success of renovation projects. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Perform drywall repairs and caulking to ensure smooth surfaces before painting. Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to complete projects efficiently. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and renovation. Conduct inspections of finished work to ensure quality standards are met. Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites. Assist in frame carpentry and trim carpentry as required during projects. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site. Requirements Proven experience in construction painting with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Familiarity with frame carpentry, trim carpentry, masonry, and renovation processes is preferred. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively. Knowledge of drywall installation and repair techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics in finished work. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team on construction sites. Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting materials, and working in various weather conditions.
