DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs assigned tasks under the direction and guidance of the department Lead Hand
• Assemble panels under the direction of the Sr. Sheet Metal Operator and/or the department Lead Hand
• Install assemblies, such as flashing, wall panels, insulation, and heating & air conditioning ducts in supportive frameworks as instructed
• Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
• Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces, seams, and joints of assembled parts, using hand tools and portable power tools as directed
• Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Possess a suitable combination of education and experience to meet the requirements of this position
• Minimum of 1 – 3 years sheet metal experience is preferred
• Must be able to work with various hand tools and operate an industrial powered fork truck
• Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
• Able to work independently or as a team player
• Able to take direction and communicate with others
• Have excellent time management skills, organized and detail oriented Employ a friendly, outgoing personality, respectful of co-workers and ability to work with individuals to carry out goals of the organization
