Job Description
Design, document, and maintain an enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery (DR) plan to ensure continuous business operation during a disaster or significant disruption. Identify critical business applications and develop automated start-stop application scripts using Python for seamless recovery and business continuity. Provide technical leadership and guidance for DR projects, focusing on the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of disaster recovery systems and related solutions. Design, deploy, and maintain application scripts required to support the DR strategy, ensuring smooth operation across application orchestration, cloud platforms, and associated systems. Utilize scripting languages, including Python, to automate processes and enhance system resilience in the event of a disaster. Lead the planning, development, and execution of regular DR tests to validate the effectiveness of the disaster recovery plan. Coordinate with stakeholders, including business leaders and technical teams, to schedule, execute, and analyze the results of DR tests, making necessary updates to the plans based on findings. Facilitate ongoing communication and engagement across departments to support effective disaster recovery planning and implementation. Provide direction to 4 Software Engineers.
Experience must include utilizing:
Oracle, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Linux, DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Python, Visual Studio Code, JIRA, PL/SQL.MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS
Master’s or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, CIS, Information Technology Management or related with 6 months of relevant IT experience in job offered or as a Computer / Engineering Professional. Any suitable combination of education, training & experience is acceptable.
