Scope ofWork:
The Business Analysis Manager will serve as the principalline of communication for the project team. The duties andresponsibilities of this position are as follows: Lead and/orassist in Joint Application Development (JADs) gathering sessionson business requirements. Work closely with customers,stakeholders, and IT software developers to document businessrequirements. Develop As-Is, To-Be, and other required businessanalysis documentation. Develop and lead the implementation ofbusiness process improvement recommendations. Maintain all projectartifacts in accordance with Project Management Office (PMO)standards and other documentation as necessary to ensure compliancewith Chapter 60GG-1, Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.). Serve asa liaison with users. Follow a standard set of practices thatensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts. Manageexpectations of diverse stakeholders and provide regular briefingsto executives. Work independently as part of a largercross-functional team. and Help with project coordination, support,and documentation.
Required Experience:
Certification in BusinessAnalysis from a recognized professional body such as theInternational Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or the ProjectManagement Institute (PMI). Five (5) or more years of experienceworking as an IT Business Analyst using both Agile and Waterfallmethodologies. Demonstrated experience with business and technicalrequirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, andmethodology development. Ability to document user stories and writebusiness IT system requirements. Experience coordinating businessusers, technical staff, and architects to help analyze and definefuture needs and operations based upon use case and analysis ofalternatives. In-depth knowledge of business process design andre-engineering. Ability to coordinate project teams and effectivelyconduct the initiative to meet overall objectives. Experiencecommunicating and working within cross-departmental teams usingstrong collaborative skills. Excellent computer skills, includingMicrosoft Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience preparingstatus reports and providing management briefings. Ability toprovide excellent leadership and negotiation skills. Ability toprovide excellent verbal and written communication skills. andExperience with meeting facilitation and documentation. Abachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university inComputer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields isrequired. Relevant experience may be substituted for education on ayear-for-year basis when applicable.
Preferred Experience:
Proficiency in business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI orTableau), data analysis software (e.g., Structured Query Language[SQL], Python, R, Statistical Analysis System [SAS]), projectmanagement software (such as, JIRA or Trello), and knowledge ofdatabases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC)methodologies like Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall is desired.
Experience working on state or federal government projects.
Experience working with technical programming teams. Ability todemonstrate a take-charge, can-do attitude with the initiative tosolve complex problems. Strong communication skills to effectivelycommunicate with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of IT standardsand security in a criminal justice environment. Positive teamplayer with a high-energy level and diligent work ethic, ability tomeet or exceed deadlines, ability to thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment.
