GENERAL SUMMARY

The Business Analyst will be able to provide planning, execution and direct analysis of business problems as well as supporting the delivery of solutions to end users. These activities will involve interaction with end users to understand their requirements and support their use of infusion solutions and our future platform of report analysis and systems. These activities will also involve work with development in modifying systems to improve the end user experience and satisfaction. The Business Analyst will be able to work independently and as part of a team throughout the process of workflow analysis, collection and implementation. The Business Analyst will be a member of the IT Enterprise Applications team. As a member of this team, the analyst will work closely with management to identify new opportunities and optimize the end user experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The ability to perform and understand requirements analysis through end user interaction and continuing communication. The ability to problem solve and clearly communicate with team members and end users. The ability to apply systems thinking to solving business problems with technical solutions.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources: reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from underlying business needs. Developing use cases and business requirements documentation, such as workflow processes, that support the business vision. Works to create and confirm project requirements by studying user requirements and conferring with others on project team. Maintains and develops technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/user groups; viewing/attending educational programs; establishing personal networks; maintaining membership in professional/technical societies. Interacts with end users to assess requirements and support use of systems. Participating in the validation process – establishing requirements, writing test protocols, executing protocols / overseeing end users to execute protocols, working with development or business users to fix issues or find acceptable workarounds. Troubleshooting and supporting functional problems with released products, as required. Business Analyst will support multiple teams or projects at a time.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Accounting, or Computer Science), similar graduate education, or equivalent work experience. Familiar with consulting services and oral / written communications. Knowledge and/or experience in the medication delivery/infusion environment within the healthcare industry in particular is preferred.
