  • Strategy & Transformation, where you will beresponsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of strategicprojects, working with individuals across the organization toachieve long-term, tangible impacts for the bank.

The Strategy andTransformation team drives organizational strategy for USCBOperations, business transformation, and operational enhancementsacross Barclays US Consumer Bank. We partner with senior leaders tolead large-scale projects across the organization, deliveractionable insights, and execute high-impact solutions fromideation to implementation. To be successful as an AVP

  • Strategy &Transformation, you should have: Experience in strategy consulting,corporate strategy, startups (FinTechs), investment banking,private equity/venture capital, strategic finance, or similar roleswith specific focus in Operations (Contact Centres, Fraud,Collections etc.

) Excellent project management skills with ananalytical and detail-oriented mindset and clear communicationskills, both written and verbal Strategic thought leadership,complex problem solving and developing strategic frameworksStakeholders and cross functional team management Bachelor’s degreewith evidence of intellectual curiosity, being a self-starter, andability to structure complex problems Some other highly valuedskills may include: Credit Card, Consumer Banking, or Paymentsindustry knowledge/experience Experience supporting transformationprogrammes in a regulated environment Understanding of ConsumerPayments and a proven track record of leading strategicinitiatives, market analysis, and business transformation You maybe assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success inrole, such as risk and controls, change and transformation,business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, aswell as job-specific technical skills. This role is located inWhippany, NJ. Purpose of the role To provide independent andbalanced advice and counsel to senior stakeholders through problemidentification, solving and decision making practices.

Accountabilities Provision of strategic advice to Group Executivesto support the decision-making process of business challenges andopportunities. Development and implementation of strategic advisoryincentives to grow and optimise the bank’s operations, throughmarket research and analysis. Collaboration with variousstakeholder groups to identify the appropriate strategic directiontype to meet the needs of Barclays clients and investors.

Development of financial models to support strategicrecommendations and transactions through financial data analysis,financial projects and considering the financial impact oftransactions. Management of transactions, negotiations, transactionstructure development and post-transaction integration.

Collaboration with internal stakeholders to maintain clientrelationships, and develop new relationships to identifyopportunities. Identification of industry trends, maintain peerbenchmarking and developments related to strategic advisoryservices by attendings conferences, participating in training andconducting market research. Assistant Vice President ExpectationsTo advise and influence decision making, contribute to policydevelopment and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.

Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. Leada team performing complex tasks, using well developed professionalknowledge and skills to deliver on work that impacts the wholebusiness function. OR for an individual contributor,they will lead collaborative assignments and guide team membersthrough structured assignments, identify the need for the inclusionof other areas of specialisation to complete assignments. They willidentify new directions for assignments and/ or projects,identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies orpractices to meet required outcomes. Consult on complex issues;providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution ofescalated issues. Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing newpolicies/procedures in support of the control and governanceagenda. Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controlsin relation to the work done. Collaborate with other areas ofwork, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed withbusiness activity and the business strategy. Engage in complexanalysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal andexternal sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas,teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively andeffectively. Communicate complex information. Complex informationcould include sensitive information or information that isdifficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
