Overview:

We are seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst who will support our NYS client. The ideal candidate for this role will have functional business systems analyst experience with Oracle PeopleSoft applications, including SQL writing skills in a payroll environment. This role will work in-house with the business systems analyst team to write requirements, test systems changes, and provide guidance on various large and small system change initiatives.

Duties:

Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements for PeopleSoft system enhancements; create functional specifications, user stories, and maintain requirements traceability throughout project lifecycle Analyze PeopleSoft architecture, table structures, and North American Payroll module capabilities to design optimal system solutions; evaluate existing configurations and assess impact of proposed changes on integrated modules Develop comprehensive test plans and execute functional, integration, and user acceptance testing; coordinate testing activities with business users and technical teams while documenting and tracking defects through resolution Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with end users and technical teams; present findings and recommendations to management while serving as liaison between business and development teams Participate in project planning, provide effort estimates, and monitor project progress Evaluate implemented solutions against business requirements; monitor system performance post-implementation and identify opportunities for enhancements to maximize PeopleSoft investment

Mandatory Qualifications:

6+ years’ experience as a business analyst in a PeopleSoft environment in at least five of the following knowledge areas (as defined by the International Institute of Business Analysis’ “A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge ® {BABOK® Guide}”): Business analysis planning and monitoring Elicitation and collaboration Requirements life cycle management o strategy analysis Requirements analysis and design definition Solution evaluation 6+ years’ experience in reading and creating SQLs 6+ years’ experience using an understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and table structures 4+ years’ experience performing business analysis in the PeopleSoft module Payroll for North America. 4+ years’ experience facilitating requirements and design sessions with the end user community.
