We are seeking a highly motivated Risk and Control Framework Specialist to join our Embedded Control Team operating within the First Line of Defense (1LOD) . This role is critical to supporting and advancing the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) framework across the organization. The specialist will work closely with senior control professionals and business process owners to identify, assess, monitor, and escalate risks while ensuring regulatory alignment and adherence to internal risk management policies. A key component of this role involves assisting with compliance testing reviews , control performance monitoring, and documentation. The successful candidate will be expected to perform tasks independently, communicate clearly, follow guidance, and engage proactively with both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Risk and Control Framework Collaborate with process owners to identify, escalate, and report operational and compliance risks Conduct regular (monthly/quarterly) control testing and participate in risk assessments Support Compliance Testing reviews and ensure timely responses to compliance requests Maintain thorough documentation of findings, controls, and risk mitigation activities Participate in meetings with the Second Line of Defense to observe and align on compliance matters Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying control gaps and suggesting improvements Execute assigned tasks in a timely and accurate manner, with minimal supervision

Required Skills & Experience:

Clear and effective verbal and written communication Strong record-keeping and documentation skills General understanding of risk control and compliance functions Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures Self-starter mindset with the confidence to ask questions and seek clarification Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills & Experience:

Previous experience with compliance testing or operational risk control Familiarity with control monitoring and reporting frameworks Ability to participate in and learn from high-level meetings Experience in financial services or a regulated environment

Education Requirements:
