Overview The Vice President of Client Growth Strategy functions as a trusted advisor to CJ Affiliate’s most strategic clients and leads a high-performing internal organization of 40-60 associates, including 3-5 Client Development Directors. This individual is responsible for driving year-over-year growth through strategic leadership, client penetration, and operational excellence. As a key member of the U.S. Within the Client Development leadership team, the VP assumes a pivotal role in crafting the future success of our clients, our product offerings, and our business. Responsibilities This role requires regular in-office attendance at our New York office and frequent travel to client offices. The successful candidate must be based in New York and committed to building strong, in-person relationships with both internal teams and external collaborators.
What you will be doing:
Lead a large portfolio of strategic accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-impact work that drives measurable growth. Partner with Client Development Directors and account teams to deliver strategic leadership, category expertise, and client happiness. Build and lead a high-performing, collaborative team across multiple locations, encouraging a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence. Penetrate client organizations beyond affiliate contacts to engage senior customers and secure agreement for central initiatives and long-term investment. Act as a strategic partner to the Sales team, supporting business development and cross-functional collaboration. Identify and deliver new business opportunities by deeply understanding client goals, industry trends, and CJ’s capabilities. Develop and implement scalable growth strategies that align with client needs and CJ’s broader business objectives. Serve as an inspiring leader and advocate for coordinated marketing services, demonstrating internal resources to deliver comprehensive solutions. Chip in to the evolution of CJ’s client development model, team structure, and operational processes.
Qualifications What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of experience in client development, account leadership, or business strategy—preferably within an agency, affiliate network, or performance marketing environment. Shown ability to build and maintain significant partnerships with senior client customers, including C-suite executives. Strong business insight with a consultative, analytical, and strategic attitude. Shown success in setting accurate revenue goals, forecasting performance, and consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets. Experience across multiple verticals and industries, with a passion for using technology to drive marketing transformation. Deep understanding of performance marketing, resource planning, and growth strategy. Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performing teams and operating models. Excellent communication, leadership, and social skills. Comfortable navigating sophisticated, ambiguous environments and driving clarity and alignment across teams. Compensation Range:
$146,490.00 – $230,460.00 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be settled based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off. The Company anticipates the application deadline for this job posting will be 8/7/25.
