Job Description
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge in hospice or healthcare operations and sales management At least 3 years of progressive experience managing healthcare operations, with hospice experience preferred Proven ability to supervise and direct management personnel Understanding of business processes and systems supporting the healthcare industry Experience in organizational process improvement and implementation of standard practices Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with a strong executive presence Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Knowledge of business management and familiarity with the Medicare Hospice Benefit is preferred Experience with EMR and Customer Relationship Management software is a plus Responsibilities Organize and oversee the agency’s operations, including planning, budgeting, and strategic goal monitoring Ensure the provision of interdisciplinary care while maintaining ethical business and clinical practices Supervise staff in duties related to patient admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, and service delivery Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services Employ qualified personnel, oversee staff education, orientation, in-service training, competency testing, and performance evaluations Supervise staff during all service hours and ensure support services are available Ensure accuracy of public information and materials Stay informed about community service systems and ensure services are approved by the hospice Ensure compliance with federal and state laws Address reports from regulatory or inspection agencies Supervise and evaluate family satisfaction surveys Manage conflict and resolve complaints effectively Implement and monitor budgets and financial systems to ensure safety and stability Ensure availability of space, equipment, and supplies Maintain required reports and liaise with the governing body Participate in quality improvement initiatives and policy development Evaluate services, staff, and programs against outcomes and derive actionable objectives Prepare annual reports and participate in mandatory staff meetings and training Perform all duties professionally and ethically, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations Benefits Heart’n Soul Hospice offers a comprehensive employment package including competitive pay, medical, dental, vision insurance, PTO, paid holidays, 401(k) with match, tuition assistance, continuing education, and company cars for qualified individuals.
