Job Summary:
As a Concrete Dispatcher, you will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching concrete deliveries to construction sites, ensuring efficient truck utilization, and maintaining clear communication with drivers, customers, and plant operations. Description A & J Ready Mix Inc is currently seeking an eager and dependable Dispatch / Customer Service Representative to join our team Clewiston, Florida. The dispatcher is the person who loads the concrete mixer trucks and make them arrive to the job site according to the customers requirements regarding the schedule, technical specifications and operative needs. Keep continuous communication with the person who receives the concrete at the job site and with the drivers to consider all the factors involved in achieving a successful delivery. The Dispatch / Customer Service Representative will be responsible for answering incoming customers’ calls, scheduling deliveries of concrete to satisfy customers’ needs, and maintain adequate communication with Delivery Professionals. Prior experience in the concrete and/or construction industry is preferred but not required. Dispatch /
Customer Service Required Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or dispatch training a plus Experience in ready-mix concrete or transportation dispatch preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills Familiarity with dispatch software (Command Alkon) is a plus. Availability for early mornings, weekends, or extended hours if needed. Intermediate computer skills; including Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn. Dispatch /
Customer Service Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist customers call, to place orders in the Batch System. Keep materials inventory. Efficiently respond to customers’ calls and emails. Suggest products to meet customers’ needs. Maintain communication with Delivery Professionals and Plant Managers. Schedule daily deliveries based on customer orders and truck availability Dispatch trucks in an efficient and timely manner Communicate with drivers to provide accurate instructions and resolve issues on the road Coordinate with plant operators and batch personnel to manage load times Monitor GPS and dispatch software to track trucks and delivery statuses Handle order adjustments, delays, and cancellations professionally Maintain logs, records, and delivery tickets accurately Provide excellent customer service by phone, chat and email.
Schedule:
10 hour shift 12 hour shift Overtime Weekends as needed Bilingual (Spanish); preferred
Availability:
