Amazon DSP Lead/Dispatch Supervisor 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars 539 Elm Street, Milford, NH 03055 Job Overview The Lead/Dispatch Supervisor fills shifts as a dispatcher and driver, and also completes administrative duties such as scheduling, supporting drivers on the road, participating in hiring events, training drivers and overseeing the delivery operation in the absence of the Operations Manager. Supervisor Requirements:
Must possess previous supervisory experience and acquire the ability to consistently articulate communications clearly in person, via phone text and email. Able to multitask, follow procedures and accurately record activities. Must be able to operate a smart phone and be computer proficient. Organized, task oriented and thinks outside of the box. • Assist Operations Manager in daily operations. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Train drives to load and unload cargo, ensuring that items are secured for transport. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including data entry of delivery logs. Communicate effectively with drivers and customers regarding delivery status. Utilize transportation management systems and GPS for route planning and navigation. Ensure that team is adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving. Assist in inventory management by tracking shipments and reporting discrepancies. Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery processes. Skills At least 6 months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of multiple employees. Problem solver. Proficiency in data entry for maintaining accurate delivery records. Familiarity with phone systems for effective troubleshooting when drivers experience challenges on the road. Able to work effectively under pressure. Provide thorough and accurate emergency documentation during urgent situations. Ability to type and text efficiently for documentation purposes. Enforce Amazon’s operating policies and safety standards, including providing quality client service. Knowledge of Amazon Cortex operations and CHIME is a plus. Strong understanding of transportation planning principles. Proficient in using GPS technology for route optimization. Acquires an attitude for learning, creativity and a proactive approach to finding opportunities to improve performance. A general understanding of fleet automotive mechanics is a plus.
