We are seeking a motivated, experienced, and dynamic Facility Manager to join us early in this exciting journey, providing leadership and expertise in plant operations and engineering as we prepare to open our newest state-of-the-art facility. This is a rare opportunity to join a healthcare system with an outstanding reputation while helping shape the operations of a brand-new hospital from the ground up. The Facility Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and financial performance of Plant Operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This leader will be instrumental during both the pre-opening and operational phases of the hospital, integrating with the construction team currently onsite and developing the operational infrastructure needed for a successful launch and long-term success.

ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

Directs all maintenance and engineering functions for a facility with fewer than 150 inpatient beds and under 450,000 square feet of occupied space.

Leads planning, budgeting, and performance of the facility’s operations, including utility cost forecasting and financial accountability.

Serves as the primary liaison with construction teams, helping to ensure smooth handover and knowledge transfer during hospital build-out.

Maintains full compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), AHCA, and all other applicable state and federal regulatory agencies.

Chairs the Site Environment of Care (EOC) Committee and plays a critical role in Emergency Management planning and execution.

Develops a comprehensive 5-year capital replacement plan and monitors supply vendors and service contracts to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Manages a skilled team of engineering professionals, overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.

Communicates regularly with senior leadership and stakeholders regarding facility status, compliance, and strategic initiatives.

QualificationsEducation/Training:

Associate degree preferred, or high school graduate with at least 2 years of management experience(in addition to the years of experience listed in the section below).

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of facility operations experience, including at least 5 years of management in a healthcare or similar regulated setting.

Proven track record in financial oversight, project management, and team leadership.

Strong working knowledge of NFPA, AHCA, CMS, TJC, and other applicable standards and codes.

Experience working closely with construction teams, preferably in the opening of a new healthcare facility, is strongly preferred.

Licensure/Certification:

Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Professional Maintenance Manager (CPMM) preferred.
