$36.7K – $44.1K a year 17 hours ago Qualifications English Mid-level Driver’s License Full Job Description The parish facilities support coordinator has two related areas of responsibility: maintenance of parish buildings and equipment; and cleanliness of the same physical plant. This position is responsible for ensuring that the church, parish center, and rectory efficiently support the ministries of the parish and present a safe and welcoming atmosphere to parishioners and visitors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance Perform regular checks and service on key mechanical systems including but not limited to boilers, circulator pumps, and air conditioning systems Serve as primary point of contact for maintenance vendors, and work with them to understand how to maintain healthy functioning of various machines and systems Monitor all lights, timers and alarms to ensure they are working properly, timers are set correctly, alarms are tested, and bulbs changed as appropriate Perform basic repairs such as masonry, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry and painting Conduct regular inspections of parish buildings’ exteriors and interiors to identify maintenance and cleaning priorities Perform set-up for various community meetings as requested Custodial Ensure church, parish center and rectory are kept clean through daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, trash removal and window washing Clean restrooms in church and parish center weekly, and spot clean daily Keep restrooms stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. Perform other support tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidate will be a practicing Catholic who understands, supports and lives the mission of the Catholic faith General knowledge of various trades, e.g., plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general procedures for maintenance of mechanical systems Ability to speak English and have the ability to communicate clearly through email and/or telephone. Must have driver’s license and access to motor vehicle Position requires Massachusetts CORI clearance Position is 30+ hours per week, benefits-eligible; may require some schedule flexibility but expectation is that most work conducted during regular business hours The position requires the ability to go up and down stairs, and lift approximately 50 pounds safely The duties and requirements described above are representative of those encountered during performance of the essential functions of this job.
