Forklift Operator/Warehouse EdgeStone Staffing Shirley, MA 01464 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Operate forklifts and cherry pickers to transport materials within the warehouse. Load and unload shipments with precision, ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance with OSHA regulations. Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to maintain an organized and efficient workspace. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety guidelines at all times. Assist in building pallets and preparing products for shipment. Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and report discrepancies as needed. Qualifications Proven experience in materials handling within a distribution center environment is preferred. Valid forklift certification is required Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with RF scanning technology is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
