General Manager Position Available In Duval, Florida

General Manager Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven General Manager to lead day-to-day fulfillment operations at our Jacksonville facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing salaried leadership teams within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role demands strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The General Manager will be instrumental in optimizing efficiency, managing costs, cultivating a strong safety culture, and maintaining high service standards for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities:

Direct daily warehouse operations to meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) and service expectations. Quickly address and resolve client issues, especially those tied to operational discrepancies. Monitor and manage operating expenses to ensure alignment with budget goals. Conduct regular audits of warehouse processes, inventory systems, and space utilization to drive performance improvements. Lead by example in fostering a positive and productive company culture. Ensure team members receive appropriate training, development, and opportunities for career growth. Enforce strict compliance with OSHA standards and internal safety protocols. Maintain a clean, well-organized, and fully functional warehouse environment. Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of salaried warehouse leadership roles. Implement performance management practices, including documentation and corrective action when necessary. Drive or participate in process improvement initiatives to implement long-term solutions. Represent the warehouse during client site visits, facility tours, and customer meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

At least 8 years of supervisory or management experience in a fulfillment environment, including 2+ years leading salaried personnel. Bachelor’s degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse operations. Strong communication skills-written, verbal, and interpersonal. Skilled in analytical thinking, decision-making, and issue resolution. Customer-focused with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships. Highly organized and efficient in managing time and priorities. Proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and continuous improvement strategies. Adaptable and effective in high-pressure, fast-moving environments. Advanced proficiency in data analysis and tracking performance metrics. Solid understanding of inventory management best practices. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), production software, and related technologies. Broad knowledge of supply chain processes, operational challenges, and scalable solutions. Experience with Propago or similar WMS platforms is a plus.
