Full Job Description Position Description :
The primary purpose of the Special Initiatives Coordinator (SIC) position is to support the planning, development, and implementation of initiatives that support DCAC’s goals and strategic direction. In this role, the SIC will collaborate with the Development Director and the Programs Manager to develop time-phased action plans to meet the goals and objectives of grant-funded special initiatives to ensure compliance and fiscal responsibility. This position will lead innovative and collaborative action plans to identify and engage critical community partners and stakeholders. This person will be knowledgeable in program implementation, advocacy, community engagement, training, and presentations. Experience working with vulnerable populations, children, or victims of crime is desirable.
Requirements :

- A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and written skills, public speaking, and facilitation experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with partners and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience coordinating programs and understanding of fiscal management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with multiple audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multi-task, possess good judgment, and work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Thorough understanding and working knowledge of vulnerable populations, children, or crime victims is preferred but optional.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
- Develop time-phased implementation strategies to meet the goals and objectives of DCAC special initiatives within fiscal and programmatic requirements.
- Responsible for planning, organizing, and ensuring the completion of initiatives on schedule and within budget.
- Coordinate all aspects of program implementation including planning, relationship building, outreach, communications, logistics, and resource development.
- Develop content for community presentations, evaluation surveys, training, and social media posts related to project milestones and expectations.
- Track strategic data necessary for grant reports regarding project milestones, deliverables, fiscal responsibility, and the needs of projects and initiatives.
- Maintain documentation and receipts of all activities and engagement to ensure program compliance and effectiveness.
- Contribute to the preparation and writing of grant progress reports and pre-post requirements.
- Respect and maintain confidentiality and professional protocols and ethics.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director and Programs Manager.

- Remain compliant and knowledgeable about all grant requirements and objectives.
- This position requires a combination of office-based work, travel to community locations, and attendance at events or meetings as needed.
