Position Summary An Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) at NatureMed Receives and processes orders; Maintains an efficient inventory control system compliant with state law and company policy, which accurately reflects the current inventory on hand at any given time; and Completes regular inventory audits. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. The ICS reports to the Store Manager, is a member of the inventory team that supports one retail location, with occasional travel to other stores in your region for end of month audits. The ICS ensures that available products are on the sales floor and supports patron and patient needs. The ICS may assist in all areas of dispensary operations, including cannabis sales, customer intake and flow, sales floor replenishment, and store cleanliness, as work demands. The ICS collaborates with the Missouri Inventory Manager and Purchasing team to ensure products are accurately received, labeled, and tracked through the process.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities The Inventory Control Specialist:
Receives Inventory:

Accepts orders from third-party vendors, and verifies invoices and manifests. Creates accurate product labels in compliance with state law and company standards. Prepares products for intake, ensures products are labeled, staged and properly stored. Completes Inventory Receipt Checklist. Maintains vendor intake log.

Controls Inventory:

Keeps the inventory room clean, organized, and operating efficiently. Uses the inventory management software to enter data and keep accurate inventory-on-hand records. Compares actual product on hand to the reported and expected stock levels, and communicates any discrepancies to the Store Manager, Purchasing team, and Inventory Manager. Records and reports product demand. Completes daily/weekly counts and audits and consolidates products. Prepares products for sale, i.e., stickering, batch organization, etc. Communicates any inventory discrepancies to the Store Manager and Inventory Manager. Assist with the investigation and resolution of any discrepancies. Perform basic office duties, including corresponding with team members and vendors. Introduces new products to the sales floor and updates the product menu. Monitors inventory levels and replenishes supply, as needed. Regularly communicates the inventory needs of the store to the Store Manager and Inventory Manager Assists Store Manager with training and guidance, that supports team members and fosters continuous learning and improvement in the store’s performance.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities Required :

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year experience in the cannabis or other regulated industry; or 1 year of inventory control experience. Proficient using inventory management software. Proficient in using Windows-based applications and Google platforms. Proficient using Excel and/or Google sheets. Extremely dependable and trustworthy. Highly organized and accurate. Detail-oriented and systematic. Effective verbal and written communication. Able to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred :

Experience using NatureMed’s systems and processes (i.e. Dutchie, Metrc). Experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. Experience using Dutchie or METRC. Knowledge of the cannabis industry and state regulations. Physical Requirements The Inventory Control Specialist (ICS) requires long periods of sitting and working on a computer.

The ICS is required to stand for long periods of time, moving about frequently in a confined space. This position also requires bending, stooping, climbing, and kneeling, as needed, to organize and maintain the cleanliness of the vault and restock the sales floor. The ICS must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 25 pounds frequently; and may be required to occasionally safely lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds. Schedule The schedule for this position varies and is based on operational needs. Store hours are from 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week, and open most holidays (364 days a year). The ICS’s shift often starts before the store opens or ends after the store closes. ICS’s are typically scheduled 6-10 hour shifts and provide coverage to best support their team and store. The ICS’s schedule may require extended hours, both day and afternoon shifts, weekends and holidays.

This position is required to report to their assigned location, in-person. Travel Occassional travel to locations within the region may be required.
