This position safely and efficiently loads, transports, unloads and moves raw materials, finished goods and work in process to designated locations and/or work centers; organizes and utilizes available space to create material flow between designated locations and work centers. Observes plant safety rules including safe forklift operations as mandated by OSHA.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage. 2. Loads, unloads, and moves machined parts and material. 3. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelve. 4. Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. 5. Completes daily forklift inspection sheet. 6. Cleans work area and equipment at the end of shift. 7. Light and Heavy materials to be moved and stored. 8. Examines products and/or materials for damage or shortages. 9. Proficient with material transaction reports. 10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Prefer one to three years related experience in receiving/parts department.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form. Ability to read and interpret basic documents, safety rules and other correspondence. Ability to count and measure equipment.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using basic math skills.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated ability to perform duties with direction. Must become forklift certified. Ability to distinguish between colors. Demonstrates effective reading skills.

Attendance Requirement:

Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such a level as is determined in the company’s employee handbook. Must be available and willing to work overtime hours as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must be available and willing to work such weekends and/or holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.

Working Conditions:

May be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. This position is working outside up to 75% of the time. Schedule is Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, talk, and hear. Physical demands include frequent lifting and/or carrying 10 – 50 lbs. and pushing or pulling 25 – 50 lbs.

Position Location:

Position is onsite and dependent on shift needs and availability and not remote eligible. Only under special circumstance(s) will the person be allowed to work remotely and with express written consent of senior leadership.

Compensation:

Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Monett, MO is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.
