Packing/Shipping Material Handler

Highway 16 S, Taylorsville, NC 28681 Job Summary o Assist with packing product to engineered packaging standards o Moves packed and staged material in preparation for shipments o May load trucks with forklift or pallet jack o When necessary, he or she will also cross-train and participate in other aspects of the business, including assembly, logistics and administration

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm (Extended Hours In Summer) Essential Functions of Job Packs out individual pieces of furniture/components Works with other teammates to pick and pack material for shipping Wraps and bands specific furniture pieces to engineering standards Followings picking and packing schedule with warehouse team to keep shipping schedule Provides additional backup support for shipping and receiving departments Operates forklift safely to load/unload trailers Education and Qualifications o High School diploma/GED preferred o Excellent organizational and time management skills o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics. This employee will need to move between Receiving, Packaging & Shipping Areas numerous times throughout the work day. o Capable of working a flexible schedule as business seasonality requires. Hours could vary from standard 8 hour days to 12 hour days during busy season. o Ability to lift up 75lbs. o Good written and verbal communication skills o This individual should have a proven ability to work independently or with others as needed CEF offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits program which includes medical and prescription drug coverage; dental; vision; and life.
