We’re currently looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Procurement and Logistics Specialist.
Job Description:
The Procurement and Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing incoming inventory, ensuring accurate records, and supporting warehouse operations in a multi-million dollar, fast-paced environment creating and/or balancing over 200 purchase orders on a weekly basis. This role plays a critical part in maintaining smooth store operations and ensuring customer satisfaction. Obtaining quotes and proposals from vendors Negotiating purchasing agreements to secure favorable prices and terms Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers Planning, scheduling, and tracking the movement of goods and materials Coordinating with suppliers, transportation companies, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries Managing and optimizing transportation and logistics processes Identifying areas to improve efficiency and reduce costs within the supply chain Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and acknowledgements
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and verify incoming furniture shipments
- Ensure all products are accurately logged into inventory systems
- Maintain organized records of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
- Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies or damages
- Work closely with buyers and managers to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Run periodic inventory audits and cycle counts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience with maintaining numerous open purchase orders in a multi-million $ environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems
- Ability to lift 25lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
