Position:
Materials Coordinator Summary:

The Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the procurement, inventory management, vendor relations, logistics coordination, quality control, documentation, and cost analysis of materials and supplies for renovation projects. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as proficiency in inventory management software and a keen attention to detail. 1.

Major Responsibilities:
Procurement:

Coordinate the procurement of materials and supplies required for renovation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records, track stock levels, and replenish materials as needed to support ongoing projects.

Vendor Relations:

Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, work out pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure optimal procurement outcomes.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate the transportation and delivery of materials to job sites, ensuring that they arrive on time and in good condition.

Quality Control:

Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy, identifying any issues or discrepancies and resolving them promptly.

Documentation:

Maintain thorough documentation of all material transactions, including purchase orders, receipts, and invoices, to ensure accountability and compliance with company policies.

Cost Analysis:

Assist in analyzing material costs and expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. 2.

Objectives/Results:

Timely procurement of materials and supplies, ensuring that they are available when needed for ongoing renovation projects. Accurate and up-to-date inventory records, with adequate stock levels maintained to support project requirements. Positive relationships established with vendors and suppliers, resulting in favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Smooth logistics coordination, with materials delivered to job sites on time and in good condition. High-quality materials sourced and utilized for renovation projects, meeting or exceeding project specifications and client expectations. 3.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in supply chain management, business administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience in materials coordination or procurement roles, preferably in the construction or renovation industry. Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough quality inspections of incoming materials. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues effectively. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Job Type:
Full-time Pay:

$20.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
