A multi-strategy investment firm managing several billion in assets across North America and Europe is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Middle Office Product Control team. This is a high-visibility, front office-adjacent role responsible for daily P&L reporting and performance analytics across a wide range of asset classes. The role offers hands-on exposure to live trading environments and requires close interaction with portfolio managers, traders, risk, operations, and senior management. This position is based in a newly built Stamford, Connecticut office, with just two in-office days required per week. This is a strong growth opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional with middle office or product control experience who wants to take the next step in a dynamic and collaborative investment firm environment.
Responsibilities Include:
Produce and review daily P&L reporting for multi-asset portfolios Investigate and resolve intraday P&L issues in coordination with PMs and risk teams Provide input on trade lifecycle events, pricing, and valuation processes Collaborate on building dashboards, automating reporting, and process enhancements Contribute to onboarding new portfolio managers and tailoring reporting workflows Help support firmwide system migrations (e.g., Geneva, Orchestrade) Act as a day-to-day liaison between investment teams and support functions
Candidate Profile:
5-8 years of experience in hedge fund middle office, product control, or operations Strong working knowledge of trade capture, valuation, reconciliations, and P&L attribution Advanced Excel and SQL skills; experience with Python, VBA, or AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) is a plus Proven ability to communicate effectively and manage cross-functional relationships Self-starter with high attention to detail and a commitment to improving workflows Experience supporting portfolio managers or sitting on a trading desk is preferred
Compensation:
Total compensation is ideally between $125K-$175K , with flexibility for outstanding candidates.
