If you’re energized by building systems, navigating ambiguity, and creating clarity in fast-moving environments—this is your lane.
What You’ll Do:
Own and streamline backend operations: HR processes , permitting , vendor management , policy development , and contracts Work closely with leadership to develop structure around internal systems Support accounting and finance teams with administrative oversight Navigate relationships with banks, payroll providers, external consultants, and training systems Ensure smooth administrative compliance and documentation across state and local jurisdictions Problem-solve and adapt on the fly—no two weeks will look the same
You Might Be:
A former Chief Administrative Officer , Director of Administration , or General Counsel-adjacent leader from a small-to-mid-sized franchise, hospitality group, or professional services firm Someone who’s scaled businesses from the ground up and knows what happens behind the scenes when growth gets messy A strategic admin leader looking to step back from intense execution-heavy roles—but still have impact An experienced professional who prefers autonomy, thrives on variety, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves
Requirements:
5-15+ years in administrative leadership roles Direct experience in HR , vendor relations , permitting , and policy/procedure development Proven ability to operate in startups , family-run businesses, or small enterprise environments Strong organizational instincts and a knack for creating order from chaos Comfort with occasional travel throughout the Tri-State Area Bonus if
You Have:
Background in investor relations, small-scale finance, or legal/contract review Experience implementing systems in growing orgs: HRIS, payroll, vendor platforms, training tools An eye for risk management, process efficiency, or business continuity
