POSITION OVERVIEW
Leads and manage all aspects of Ocean Export high-volume supply chain logistics and freight operations. Responsible for the financial performance, profitability, service delivery, client retention, new business growth, and operational excellence of the branch while maintaining a client-centric focus. Works to achieve both individual and company goals and objectives while maximizing profitability thru efficient customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory management responsibilities for both import and export employees and their daily work and work schedules. Responsible for operational decisions without approval other than VIP contract clients. Manages updates and communicates new requirements in CargoWise. Conduct annual performance evaluations and review for all staff within the division and create individual training and development that address needs and expectations. Manages high volume accounts as tasked. Implements new procedures needed for KPI reporting working with task force and/or CargoWise team. Responsible for interviewing all new hires, implements disciplinary measure as needed, informs Human Resources (HR) of any escalating incidents. Ensuring that policies and procedures set forth by the company are followed. Responsible for the development and engagement of all staff.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training. 8+ years industry experience, specific to Ocean Export/Import shipment 5+ Years staff management Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook) Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Safely and successfully performs the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Must be able to sit for prolonged period of time in office environment, desk setting Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
