Job Purpose Provides operations management, technical support, and field oversite for environmental abatement such as asbestos, lead and mold, and interior and structural demolition. This position may occasionally require travel to nearby markets. Essential Functions Manage equipment and laborers for major large projects or multiple smaller projects for the branch. Coordinate with other branches to share labor and equipment resources. Constant productive interface with the customer i.e., general contractor or owner. Coordinate planning for labor, equipment and hauling for multiple projects, crews, and project managers. Work with the safety department to coordinate training and implementation of safety program and compliance. Work with project managers and branch managers to address and manage technical or administrative problems that arise during project execution and to ensure objectives are met. Oversight of branch company trucks and DOT compliance assistance. Manage warehouse staff, inventory, and supply deliveries. Solicit and procure favorable pricing with vendors for equipment and supplies. Train and mentor field construction personnel to ensure their professional success. Identification of risks that could cause the company legal, financial, or contractual harm. Communicate effectively with field staff, project management and branch management. Responsible for assisting project managers in the facilitation of lodging as required for field labor through our corporate account with CLC and continued management of lodging for project duration. Required Qualifications Experience in the contracting, construction, remediation, and demolition industry preferred. Demonstrated experience effectively coordinating project crews. Must have proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong written, verbal communication and organization skills. Understanding of equipment is preferred. Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company’s driving (MVR) policy. Preferred Qualifications and Education Bachelor’s degree. Supervisory Responsibility Laborers, labor leaders. Work Environment Operates in a normal office environment, but also requires considerable time in the field. While outside the office, the employee could be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. Must be able to walk across rugged terrain, climb substantial heights, and work over and on water. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly requires work in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The incumbent occasionally lifts heavy objects, walks, and stands for extended periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. This position occasionally requires long hours, holidays, and weekend work. Travel Travel as required for project support.
