The Director of Business Operations and Systemsis a Site based strategic leadership role focused on optimizingbusiness processes and driving data-driven decision making acrossmanufacturing operations for the Drug Product APU. This positionensures effective and efficient utilization of human capital andprovides systems support and data solutions through threeinterconnected workstreams, while partnering with OperationalExcellence, Finance and Supply Chain. The role champions theadoption of advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning solutionsto drive financial results across Formulation, Filling, Inspection,and Packaging (FFIP) operations. MainResponsibilities:

Leadership and Team Development Set clearobjectives and KPIs for direct reports aligned with organizationalgoals Drive team performance through regular coaching anddevelopment sessions Establish quarterly business reviews to trackProgress and adjust strategies Foster a culture of innovation andcontinuous improvement Manage resource allocation across projectsand operational activities Manufacturing Data Strategy and ProcessExcellence Lead the business process responsibilities in SAP andother tools’ master data for FFIP, in collaboration and alignmentwith Business System Owners locally and globally Drive continuousimprovement in data quality and accessibility across FFIP functionsPartner with Smart Factory and Digital teams to define specificbusiness requirements and process improvements Champion data-drivendecision making and predictive analytics adoption at the shop floorlevel Identify opportunities for AI/ML implementation inmanufacturing processes, such as predictive maintenance, qualityoptimization, and yield improvement Implement industry-leadingvisualization tools and/or “core model” tools (e.g., Power BI, etc)to create real-time performance dashboards tracking OEE, yield,cycle time, and quality metrics and share those across departmentsDigital Manufacturing Process Integration Be the SPOC for FFIP withSmart Factory teams Define business requirements and processes forserialization, electronic logbooks, and electronic batch recordsLead change management initiatives for digital transformationprojects impacting core operations Ensure business processes alignwith regulatory requirements and industry standards Collaboratewith digital teams to implement AI-powered solutions for processoptimization Drive the adoption of machine learning models forproduction resource planning and efficiency Oversee implementationof digital twin technology and process simulation tools to optimizemanufacturing flows Strategic Business Planning and PerformanceManagement Develop data-driven approaches for operational budgetplanning and execution Implement predictive analytics for headcountplanning and resource optimization Lead strategic planningprocesses incorporating AI-driven insights Establish KPIs andanalytics frameworks for performance monitoring Drive theintegration of AI/ML models to optimize resource allocation basedon the production forecast from 1 month up to 3 year horizon incollaboration with Supply Chain Workforce and OperationalExcellence Partner with FFIP production leaders to refineoperational plans and execution strategies Design and implementcomprehensive training programs for manufacturing personnel Developefficient onboarding and offboarding processes for flexibleworkforce management Create capacity planning models that optimizecore and flexible workforce utilization Implement workforceanalytics tools (e.g., Workday Analytics, UKG) to trackproductivity, skills gaps, and training effectiveness Collaboratewith production leaders to establish standard work and continuousimprovement initiatives About You Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration,or related field 10 years of experience in manufacturingoperations, with 5 years in production leadership roles Strongunderstanding of data analytics, AI/ML applications inmanufacturing Experience in process optimization, improvement andchange management Proven track record in strategic planning andperformance management Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturingprocesses, systems and regulatory requirements Excellentstakeholder management and leadership skills Key Competencies Holdsa collaborative management style and acts as a strategic teamplayer.
