The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, supplier management, and contract negotiation. This role is crucial for maintaining our supply chain operations and ensuring that we meet production demands effectively. Responsibilities Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company goals. Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Utilize systems such as Quickbooks for procurement processes. Oversee supplier management, including performance evaluations and relationship building. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly. Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and new products. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities. Coordinate with fabrication teams to understand material needs for production. Requirements Proven experience in purchasing or procurement management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of inventory management practices and systems. Proficiency in contract management and negotiation skills. Familiarity with supply chain processes and best practices. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance metrics. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
