Your Role as
Director of Procurement Key Responsibilities:
Be a player-coach : Build the procurement department from scratch while leading a nimble, high-performing team of buyers. Integrate and optimize procurement functions across Whistle Express ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance. Establish best-in-class systems and processes to support multi-site field operations across the U.S. Identify, evaluate, and nurture relationships with industry-specific suppliers , ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and reliability goals. Negotiate vendor agreements that support Whistle’s growth and cost-efficiency goals. Deliver measurable cost savings through smart purchasing strategies and sourcing innovation. Track, report, and drive improvement across key performance metrics , ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. Lead with purpose, adaptability, and agility— no two days will be the same in this evolving, high-growth environment.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel, approximately 5% to car wash sites, vendor meetings, and industry trade shows.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
5+ years in procurement or supply chain leadership, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Track record of building and managing teams with a focus on results and accountability. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred:
