This executive role involves developing strategic sourcing initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and driving operational efficiency to support the company’s objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals to optimize cost, quality, and delivery. Oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and management of contracts with suppliers and vendors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure reliable supply chains. Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance management. Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all procurement activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and manufacturing, to align procurement with business needs. Develop and manage the procurement budget, forecasting expenditures and tracking cost savings. Implement and leverage technology solutions (e.g., ERP systems, e-procurement tools) to streamline procurement processes. Mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, price volatility, and supplier dependencies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex vendor contracts. Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, market trends, and risk management. Proficiency in procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments. Preferred Skills Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP). Experience in food or manufacturing procurement. Knowledge of global sourcing and international trade regulations. Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making. Change management experience to drive process improvements. Working Conditions Full-time position, with occasional travel to supplier sites or industry events. Fast-paced environment requiring strategic thinking and adaptability.
