Procurement Manager – North America Position Available In New York, New York

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Procurement Manager – North America to lead our sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimization efforts for North American clients. This role is critical in enabling Elchemy to deliver reliable, compliant, and competitively priced products from global sources (especially North America) to our U.S. customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing:

Build and execute sourcing strategies aligned with customer needs across the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Supplier Management:

Evaluate, onboard, and manage relationships with domestic and global chemical suppliers. Ensure suppliers meet quality, pricing, and delivery expectations.

Cost Optimization:

Drive margin improvement through better negotiations, alternative sourcing, and bulk purchasing strategies.

Cross-border Coordination:

Work closely with Elchemy’s India-based teams to coordinate procurement, quality checks, and logistics execution.

Risk Management:

Monitor supplier performance, lead time variability, and quality risks; build redundancies in the supply chain.

Documentation & Compliance:

Ensure suppliers comply with customer-specific documentation requirements (e.g., COA, COO, Packaging Lists) and regional regulations (Prop65, TSCA, etc.).

Market Intelligence:

Stay on top of industry trends, price movements, and geopolitical developments that impact chemical trade flows.

Skills and Qualifications:

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with strong presentation capabilities. 10+ years of proven experience in leading procurement efforts, particularly in the North America market for chemicals, preferably personal care or flavors and fragrance segments. Highly driven, ambitious, and passionate about procurement, sales & building businesses Preferred qualities include entrepreneurial mindset, strong techno-commercial acumen, excellent networking skills, ownership, commitment, and high emotional intelligence.
