$49,306.02 (annual salary of $47,040.06 plus Competitive Area Differential pay of $188.83 per month).This is specialized case management work screening civil cases for compliance with administrative orders, legal requirements, and necessary documentation. It is a professional and highly responsible position within the Civil Division involving the use of benchmark case management techniques to promote case progression and disposition. This position assists with monitoring compliance with requirements for handling civil cases under the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, Florida Small Claims Rules, and Administrative Orders. This position is responsible for assisting with civil case flow through use of civil case management techniques, analyzing caseload data, creating statistical reports, and implementing strategies to dispose of civil cases promptly and efficiently. The position works under the general direction of the County Civil Operations Director.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Screens civil cases for compliance with civil and local rules and administrative orders to assure completeness and readiness for hearing.
Provides assistance with case management of judicial caseloads, maintains a database for open cases needing attention, and enters documents in the automated case management system.
Reviews court files where issues arise and prepares files for final hearing.
Schedules hearings, prepares notices of hearings and maintains courts calendars; attends and monitors court hearings as needed.
Monitors case processing reports to ensure case events comply with statutory/local practice timelines.
Evaluates the status of case related matters, performs required actions to move the case forward and consults with the judge to facilitate case progression.
Provides case status information to the court either at hearings or through periodic reports.
Performs clerical tasks such as preparing orders, documents and forms or creating and maintaining records systems for efficient case management.
Prepares technical and statistical reviews of evaluation reports.
Attends, participates and contributes to committee and management meetings.
Performs related administrative functions and other duties as needed.

Moderate noise; business office setting. This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures.
Physical Demands:
Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking, listening, and reaching with hands and arms; must be able to transfer up to 10 pounds.
Licenses Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
