Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Parentchild+ Early Learning Specialist manages a caseload of 12 families for the Home Visiting Program; conducts Home Visits; and delivers toys and books, while modeling for parents on the components of early education; connects families to resources; makes referrals as appropriate; uses the DAISY Database system after assisting families with ASQ completion. Additionally, the Early Learning Specialist plans, coordinates, and facilitates community events and engagement in the catchment area, and supports the CFCE program with Community Outreach, playgroups, and story times.
Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
Conducts home visits to families in the caseload (these visits may occur via Zoom, WhatsApp, or FaceTime, as needed), twice a week for a caseload of 12 families, to enhance literacy and pre-reading skills for families. Administer ASQ Assessments and conduct family intake assessments for all qualifying families. Complete reports on case management as requested by the Program Coordinator, record keeping, and documentation. Perform required supportive tasks related to the needs of the family and staff. Provide resources and community information to families, as well as support outreach and recruitment efforts. Attend 2-hour PCPLUS weekly staff meetings. Train and participate in ENGAGE training as needed. Develop collaborative relationships with the communities served. Meet weekly with the Team to review caseload and as often as necessary with the Program Coordinator. Participate in community outreach through activities, story times, playgroups, and resource sharing. Support GLCAC, Inc. with community outreach.
