EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

As a Human Services Program Executive 1, you will serve as the Chief of the Division of Policy and Planning within CHIP. In this position, you will provide administrative and managerial work directing human services programs within the Department of Human Services. Your duties will include reviewing and evaluating program objectives and policies, determining and implementing program policies, and writing and reviewing policy and procedure manuals and other documentation. You can expect to maintain a knowledge of current social, economic, and health problems and review available resources as they relate to the program. Additionally, you will develop initiatives and recommendations for program and budgetary modification, as well as prepare and review the annual CHIP report.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Telework:

You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, with a minimum of one day per month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
