This position requires 10+ years of experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Manage multi-discipline engineering projects Coordinate schedules with clients and the internal team Interface with Clients Review of contracts and proposals Design of HVAC systems including Air Distribution, Chilled and Hot Water Piping Distribution Systems, Steam and Building Automation systems for education, commercial, and healthcare buildings Design, load analysis, site surveys, RFI, and submittal reviews Responsible for preparing Mechanical systems project construction documents and specifications QA/QC other Mechanical Engineer’s documents Coordinate design information between disciplines
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Professional Engineer (preferred) Knowledge of Plumbing, Medical Gas, Natural Gas, and Fire Protection systems and design (preferred) Knowledge of the Building and Healthcare Codes related to HVAC systems Understanding of mechanical designs and calculations for HVAC systems Knowledge of project management software (preferred) Ability to research related codes and standards to ensure design compliance Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to traverse sites, including walking through projects under construction Ability to maintain a safe work environment Knowledge of load software (Trane Trace 700, Trane Trace 3Dplus, Carrier HAP, Etc.) Knowledge of REVIT Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word) Must possess a valid driver’s license Must complete a background check
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in Mechanical systems
