We are currently seeking a Business Improvement Coordinator or Manager to join our team ideally in Port Washington, NY. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple projects at one time and feel comfortable taking the lead when necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities for this position include: Support business improvement projects across North America Product Supply sites. Assist in assessing site processes to identify potential efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Provide support for Operational Excellence initiatives and participate in local teams as needed. Contribute to projects by ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met under the guidance of project leads. Maintain and assist with the preparation of performance and efficiency reports, including tracking product process improvements, distribution efficiencies, and customer experience metrics. Support data collection, trend identification, and metric reporting in collaboration with site and regional management. Partner with department leadership to promote Lean culture and support operational improvement initiatives. Assist with coordination of Lean activities for NY, OKC, PLV, and Canada sites, including preparation of reports and materials for global Lean initiatives. Participate in Lean Manufacturing activities aimed at reducing waste, improving consistency, and enhancing efficiency (e.g., Kaizen events, 5S, basic Six Sigma tools). Develop working knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing within cGMP guidelines and applicable regulations. Engage with cross-functional project teams to promote business improvement best practices. Collaborate with Commercial Operations and other departments to support business improvement projects, such as process updates or new product introductions. Perform other related duties as assigned. Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Operations, Business, or related field) 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or business improvement role, preferably in a regulated industry Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies (formal certification is a plus but not required) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Desire to develop project management and leadership skills Willingness to travel up to 15-20% as needed Why ALK? This salary range is an estimate in good faith for the position. Final compensation can vary based on the candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and knowledge.
